Got an innovative use of educational technology to share?

We hear and read a great deal about new tools and ideas which COULD be tried with students to expand and improve opportunities for learning. The focus of this group is on sharing ACTUAL classroom practices with educational technologies which have worked, failed, or been attempted with some improvement needed. Sir Ken Robinson says if we're never willing to be wrong, we can never do anything creative. This group is focused on sharing moments of instructional risk-taking using technology with students and teachers. Let's learn from and support each other in this process.

Greetings fellow educators

I have just begun working with, and introducing to my students, a wiki for classroom use. So far, we have used it to share personal interests and likes/dislikes re: math and science (the content which I teach). Today, we attempted to begin a page that will be shared with classroom newcomers regarding our VADOE-provided internet search engine, nettrekker.com.
The students, for the most part, are liking the new 'freedom' to post their thoughts and opinions on the wiki, and use their choice of fonts and background colors, etc.
Have any of you ever used a wiki in the classroom?

I haven't run in to the match ads, so maybe they were short lived. I do wish they would get rid of the gift thing, I looked through the management options, and couldn't figure out how to turn it off. Anyone else know how? @Sheri: The problem with...

We had strong interest - and a great start - among our third grade teachers to have their students begin blogging (mainly around literacy) - blogging in the hands of these talented teachers couldn't be more valuable, in my opinion. Then our admini...

Wow... changes. Is this happening on other nings? Where we once had some relatively connected google ads on the side of our ning, we now have match[dot]com ads where Seedlings can explore online dating? I hope this is a short lived anomaly. http:...
