With your work in Learning Technology, I recommend you take a look at Wiziq's virtual classroom and authorstream's power point presentation platform. Both are web based platforms, have a bunch of features and free basic service. Here’s a public class recording you might find of interest.

I'm an educational consultant & professional developer who specializes in universal design for learning and accessible learning technologies. My primary work is with the Maine Learning Technology Initiative, the Maine AIM Community Practice, and as a project director of a federal grant to improve teacher preparation at the University of Southern Maine.
