Hi Jane
Wow - great to hear about someone else who is off to China and aiming to blog about it. I am going on 24th Oct with a group of 12 16-19yr olds and 2 staff. We're visiting Shandong Youth Federation who will be hosting us and aiming to discover more about youth work out there. I visited in 2006 with some youth workers and found it fascinating. Where are you aiming to go? Do you have any info on how you are aiming to connect to the internet to upload etc? Would love to hear more.
It is such a small world. Sheryl NB is coming to our state conference in Oct. 2008. I am so excited for others in my state to hear her speak. I would love to be in touch while you are in China.
Keep us updated on your travels.
Cheryl
Welcome Jane, Are you on break now or teaching? We just started back to school. Thanks for joining us. It will be interesting and lots of good conversations.

Would love to shed a little light on this, Bob, Alice, Sheri and Wes.

I haven't run in to the match ads, so maybe they were short lived. I do wish they would get rid of the gift thing, I looked through the management options, and couldn't figure out how to turn it off. Anyone else know how?

Kristin Tarnas I am looking for a way to get my class in a chat room during a lesson and wondering what would be a good and appropriate venue for this.
Clare,
Why on earth would the teachers be asked to stop blogging? Are they asked to stop having conversations? Are they asked to stop writing about things that matter to kids? How are teachers supposed to disregard one of the major communication for…
We had strong interest - and a great start - among our third grade teachers to have their students begin blogging (mainly around literacy) - blogging in the hands of these talented teachers couldn't be more valuable, in my opinion. Then our administ…
