Janice, from my webhead friends, whenever we are working on Web 2.0 tools, we need to poll the whole global community and get the pulse on what is blocked and what is open, enjoy your trip. Keeping track of these blocks will be a great blog post!

Hi Sarah,
Below is a summary of what I did with the music/language arts lesson I highlighted in my Google Teacher Academy video.
Hard Times and Music
I always look for any excuse for a song and I knew that Hard Times would be a particularly...
Just a short comment from Turkey: I tried to watch the video and apparently youtube is blocked in the whole country! Maybe I am wrong. I will try again.
Sarah,
Thanks so much for all of the specific comments. I had to send the application in before leaving for my Mediterranean Odyssey, so I am sorry that I cannot go back and make some of those changes. I used the auto correction of volume in iMov...

as for the lesson, while i don't have a plan for it...
Wendy,
Great video! I agree with Cheryl about shaving off those extra seconds - and the word bubbles is the place to do it. Rather than do the motion transitions, how about flashing them on the screen? People read text really quickly, especially i...
I forgot to mention: I have a 40 min train and bus trip to school each way, and I use that time to listen to podcasts - liquid blogs! In the morning I seem to choose ICT related podcasts, ("Seedlings", anyone?) and on the way home I tend towards more general info - "The Naked Scientists", "Digital Planet" (from the BBC), "Penguin Books", etc.
Hi - I read your question about the iTunes logo, so of course went to the Bluejays' page to check out what you're doing - it looks interesting. I've subscribed to the podcasts for my own iPod, and added the link to a list of audio stories for young children we keep on the sidebar of a Class 2 blog. If you see comments "from Geneva" on the stories, that will be us!
About "how do you keep up?" - I "follow" the forum threads I'm interested in by email, and try desperately to read through the blogs at least once a day to keep the unread hoards under 100. I use Google reader, and just scroll through all the new items. When there's one I want to spend more time or thought on, or want to blog about, I email it to myself. I'm using Gmail, so there I've put filters (with their different colors) on the different sources of email - so I can pick out quickly what came from school, what's "personal" and what's come from a blog or ning. It does take a little time, but it also keeps my mind alive!
I have a question... I am now a member of at least three Nings, My Space, Facebook, Blogger.com, and I have a bunch of Wikispaces... How is it possible to keep up... I am sure I have joined lots of other things that I have totally forgotten... What do you do?
My favorite is Mike Rowe from "Dirty Jobs" talking about how his idea of work changed through his show. I showed it to my seniors and they really understood what he was saying. I teach Math Finance and many of the students are thinking about "what...
Hi, Alice,
What a wonderful resource TED is! Imagine, we can all view and engage in these presentations that prior to this were limited to the few elite who could afford to attend.
One of my favorites is Benjamin Zandar, the conductor, talking abo...
After realizing that yellow sticky notes, filled with "To Do" lists, were consuming his life, director Jeff Chiba Stearns decided to visually self-reflect on his own filmmaking journey by animating 2,300 of those same sticky notes. Blending hand-d...
My group of summer school 5th graders and I need your help! We want to know Why you read? Why you write? We are trying to get as many responses as we can from everyone and anyone. You can help by adding your text, audio, or video, to this voicethr...
