A common thread I've seen is that when a school or district is able to bring technology into their learning environments they forget to also plan in training time and provide a solid support system. A teachers says, "Wow,! That looks cool but I do...

Cheryl, When Eric and I put together this video, we geared it toward an elementary level audience. However, I have used it with middle school students as part of an introduction to iMovie projects using their MLTI laptops (see more resources for ...

Tell us about yourself!
I am the Technology Integration Specialist for grades 6-8 in Regional School Unit #21, Arundel/Kennebunk/Kennbunkport. I service as the district contact person for information regarding Interactive White Board technology and am currently working on a 3-year plan to place interactive SMART Boards into every classroom in the district, grades K-12. I see teachers as storytellers, and boy are there a lot of stories for us to tell. I believe technology can enrich this process and help teachers to reach a student population that is infinitely diverse and always changing.

-Inform students about how to be safe on the Internet.
-Improve Internet research skills.

Hi Nick,

With your work in Technology, I recommend you take a look at Wiziq's virtual classroom and authorstream's power point presentation platform. Both are web based platforms, have a bunch of features and free basic service. Here’s a public class recording you might find of interest.
